Despite slowing growth, Hong Kong's overall short-term economic outlook remains broadly favorable. According to government data, Hong Kong's real GDP growth slowed to 5.6% year on year (y/y) in Q1 2007 from 7.3% in Q4 of 2006. In addition, growth in total goods exports eased to 8.2% in Q1 from 11.7% in Q4 of 2006.
